Westward Ho!

With its far reaching flat sandy beaches it’s no wonder Westward Ho! is an incredibly popular beach. Just a 5 minute drive away and you find yourself surrounded by everything a Devon beach could have to offer. Popular with surfers, walkers and families alike, this bustling location has something for everyone and all ages.

Instow

For a slightly more relaxed day at the beach, Instow is the one for you. Forming part of the Taw estuary, there are calm flat waters protected by the estuary sandbanks with easy access for buggies and children. If you are a keen walker or cyclist, Instow Beach can be reached by taking the Tarka Trail from Bideford. Alternatively it is just a 10 minute drive away.

Saunton Sands

Backed by sand dunes, Saunton Sands beach is full of unspoiled natural beauty. Extremely popular with surfers and those looking to simply enjoy a beach away from the hustle and bustle. Its vast flat sandy beach is perfect for picking your spot and camping out all day. Plenty of beautiful walks are to be found across the sand dunes that surround the beach and add to its secluded beauty.
